Carnival Cruise Line honors more than 150 military women aboard to celebrate first-ever Fleet Week in Miami and kick off Mother’s Day weekend Carnival Conquest.
In the show, Vera RangnickThe graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and vice president of strategic procurement for Carnival Cruise Line expressed deep appreciation for the impact women serving in the military have had.
Carnival Conquest Cruise Director Stepan Neral Responsible for overseeing recognition for each branch of the military, each service member receives a commemorative challenge coin specially created by Carnival Corporation. The program also provides special recognition for military teams that assist in marine rescues.

Fleet Week is an annual celebration honoring the many outstanding achievements of the men and women of the United States Armed Forces. Fleet Week Miami begins May 5 and runs through May 12, offering a variety of community outreach and events, including Navy and Marine Corps band performances, guided ship tours, ceremonies and tributes to the service members.
Carnival celebrates its military members with a military appreciation party on every cruise. Last year, Carnival hosted more than 1,500 military gatherings attended by tens of thousands of people across the ship.
