Construction is once again underway at EPCOT’s Canada Pavilion, as new permits have been filed for upcoming improvements. The permits, which typically have a vague description of “installing scenic elements,” have been assigned to Icarus Exhibits. The longtime Disney vendor is known for its expertise in custom theming for immersive environments, having recently contributed to projects such as the TRON Lightcycle Run, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and Toy Story Land.

Although the Canada Pavilion just completed a massive exterior renovation, construction walls have reappeared, signaling more changes to come. The area currently under construction is the Hotel Canada, a part of the building that has been off-limits to guests for years, adding to the mystery of what is going on behind the scenes.

While Disney has yet to announce what these improvements will involve, the involvement of Walt Disney Imagineering suggests the project could result in a new visitor-facing space. Speculations have ranged from new exhibits to the addition of a bar or lounge area. As EPCOT continues its transformation, fans eagerly await more details on how the Canada Pavilion will be improved to provide a more immersive experience for visitors.
