#SpotLAX2024 is only five months away! We’ll be meeting again at LAX September 13-15. We know many of you can’t wait to start preparing for this year’s event, and we have some exciting news for you.
If you’ve never been to SpotLAX, it’s a week-long gathering of plane spotters and aviation enthusiasts that we’ve been hosting since 2013. You can read what it was like to attend the first conference in 2023 here.
This year we are teaming up again with Brett Snyder and Cranky Dorkfest. The annual party will be held on Saturday, September 14th. Hotel rooms now available for booking
The views from the rooftop of the H Hotel Los Angeles overlooking LAX are unparalleled. From the 12th floor, you can see nearly the entire northern complex of the airport, as well as many of the planes approaching. Then there is the rooftop lounge seating, a place to discuss the finer points of commercial aviation. Not to forget, the smell of burning jet fuel and rubber always permeates the air, making the atmosphere perfect. Plus, the hotel’s central location provides easy access to a variety of other plane spotting spots in the area. For much of the weekend, access to the rooftop deck is limited to hotel guests. As in previous years, we have arranged discounted room rates for this event. This year, to book You must use this booking link. King bed starts at $219 per night.

We have already booked more rooms for our building. Airport view rooms are close to being sold out and all rooms for Friday night are sold out.
#SpotLAX2024 Opening Night Party Returns
For the second year in a row, we will be hosting the SpotLAX Opening Night Party on Friday evening with our friends at Airline Videos Live. Last year, this popular event brought over 200 aviation enthusiasts to the rooftop deck of the H Hotel. It’s a great way to enjoy a few hours of rooftop fun without having to stay overnight at the hotel. Just like last year, our friends at AVL will be live streaming from the rooftop that night and serving as our MCs. There will be food and drinks available for purchase. We will also be having a model airplane raffle, just like last year.
Tickets for this year’s party are $15 and will go on sale Saturday, June 15. This year, all attendees will be required to pay for tickets, including hotel guests. We will provide more information on how to purchase tickets as we get closer to the on-sale date. Please check our social media channels or subscribe to our email newsletter for these updates.
