Just now I My third visit to Gracelandas we lined up on the mansion grounds and waited for the group ahead of us to walk through the iconic front doors, I looked down and had an idea.
You’ll see the main front lawn dotted with tall oak trees. They’ve been here since Elvis lived here. He pushed the cart around them and posed for photos below them with Priscilla and Lisa Marie. They are huge.
But what’s happening at the same time is that little seedlings are sprouting up in the garden, and no doubt the lawn, but the lawn guys are mowing them before they have a chance to grow.
Who buys oak saplings from Graceland?
I think a lot of fans will. These historic little trees can be packaged with certificates of authenticity and sold at the Elvis Experience Store across the road, or by mail order.
Of course, people from outside the US (like me!) can’t take them home, but I’m sure there are a lot of die-hard Elvis Presley fans in the US who would love one. You can even make it into a bonsai and place it inside.
Now, this is an idea that Riley had to help her mom clear her debt 😉
