International Day of Yoga is celebrated every year, coinciding with the Summer Solstice. Not only is the Summer Solstice the longest day of the year, it also marks the start of the (astronomical) summer, which in 2024 falls on June 21 in the Northern Hemisphere. In yoga circles, the summer solstice is seen as the perfect time to awaken the body and reset the mind, especially after a dreary winter.
