Onriva to provide Bizly platform

Startup business travel platform Onriva has announced a partnership with self-service meeting planning platform Bizly to provide its marketplace and meeting planning tools to Onriva customers.

Onriva is born Stealth Mode In late 2021, the company announced it would launch an omnichannel booking platform that would include direct connectivity and new distribution capabilities content. At the time, company executives claimed that 3,500 small and midsize companies had booked more than $3 billion in travel through the platform.

Mike Kubasik, a long-time travel and transportation technology executive and corporate travel management CTO, recently Joined the company as president. Former ARC CEO Mike Premo and Fiserv’s First Data Merchant Global Services chairman Dan Charron both serve on the company’s board.

By bringing in Bizly’s self-service meeting platform, Onriva is giving clients access to a global network that Bizly says includes more than 500,000 venues, including hotels, restaurants with private dining areas, coworking spaces, events and unique venues, according to a press release. The partnership is just one in a series of similar efforts that combine short-term travel, group bookings and/or simple meeting planning into a single service.

Although Onriva and Bizly called the partnership an “integration,” the Onriva and Bizly announcements did not reveal details of the joint technology development or data integration. BTN asked after hours about the development roadmap but did not receive an immediate response.

The two companies have prepared a statement that currently limits the partnership to joint products accessible through the Onriva platform.

“We chose Bizly because of its user-friendly interface, flexibility and ability to deliver greater savings to our clients,” said Ben Parodi, executive vice president of Onriva, in a statement. “By leveraging Bizly’s innovative platform, we are furthering our commitment to providing our clients with the tools and resources they need to understand, control and save on their meetings and events.”
