Royal Caribbean Cruises has announced the godmother of its newest Oasis-class ship, Utopia on the sea, It’s singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor.
The cruise line will also host an exclusive three-night celebration beginning July 15, where 52 fans will have the opportunity to join in the festivities. Fans can join in the festivities starting today through Sunday, July 7 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Official giveaway rules are available at Royal Caribbean’s Instagram.
The three-night naming cruise will include a live performance by Trainor, a stop at Royal Caribbean’s private destination Perfect Day at CocoCay, and a naming ceremony just days before the ship’s official debut on July 19 at Port Canaveral.

Royal Caribbean and Trainor will kick off a three-night celebration with the naming of Utopia Witnessed by special guests, crew, media partners and 52 fans (one for every weekend of the year) and their guests, Trainor will serve as godmother, fulfilling a time-honored sailing tradition and providing safety for the ship, crew and guests who will sail aboard in the years to come.
The party will continue with Trainor performing an exclusive performance at the iconic open-air water theatre, where fans will be able to meet the star in person.
Utopia on the Sea It will be the first Oasis-class ship to feature three-night weekend and four-night weekday sailings. Guests will enjoy more than 40 restaurants, bars and gathering spaces; two casinos; railway carriage dining experiences; countless swimming pools; recreational activities on ice, air and water; and more.
Each voyage Utopia on the Sea That includes a stop at Perfect Day at CocoCay, which features a water park, the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean and the Bahamas, the adults-only Hideaway Beach and more.
