The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua is proud to announce the 32ndnd Annual Celebration of the Arts The event will take place over Easter weekend, March 29-30. This special weekend brings together more than 125 of the State of Hawaii’s most celebrated cultural practitioners, artisans, educators, speakers, fashion designers, photographers and entertainers to celebrate and preserve all that is Hawaii.
This year’s theme is “E Kāmau ke Kuleana… Privileges and responsibilities endure” Ike (knowledge) to pass on to the next generation. 32 can be entered during the daynd The annual celebration of the arts is free and open to the public.
“We are excited to welcome back Hawaiian cultural experts and artisans to share their craft with residents and visitors alike,” said Clifford Nae’ole, Hawaiian Cultural Advisor at The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua, and event chair for 32 years. “By sharing our culture and knowledge, we are expressing a genuine appreciation for our past and preparing for the future.”

Daytime highlights include an E Ala E sunrise ceremony, thought-provoking panel discussions and films, lively hula performances, a local market with more than 50 artisans and craftspeople, Hawaiian medicinal plant tours, Polynesian wayfinding sessions, kapa-making demonstrations and more. For those seeking more hands-on activities, the resort will offer tree-planting tours to the Pu’u Kukui watershed, Hawaii’s largest private nature reserve.
In the evening, the Celebration Music Show will present an unforgettable evening of Hawaiian music and hula, featuring singer-songwriter Weldon Kekauoha. The Celebration of the Arts Hog returns with an amazing feast of island cuisine, and the resort’s new Hog Show “The Story of Kapa Moe” cast will present fascinating pieces of Hawaiian history.
