Hurricane Beryl Update

While the itinerary has yet to be announced, the first ship, the ninth in the Disney fleet, won’t set sail until 2029.

As Hurricane Beryl barrels toward the Caribbean, cruise lines are rerouting some of their ships.
Royal Caribbean Cruises has changed itineraries on five of its ships, Celebrity Transcendence, Icon of the Seas, Majestic of the Seas, Wonder of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas.
Majesty of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas have changed the days of port calls Cozumelhoping to avoid the hurricane’s predicted path into the region.
Carnival Cruise Line also changed the itineraries of the Carnival Horizon and Carnival Freedom. The Norwegian Jade and Breckavie canceled calls to Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, BelizeCozumel and Costa Maya In Mexico.
Cruise lines prepare for the worst and adjust routes before conditions worsen. While this is standard procedure during severe weather, most cruise ships will not encounter storms of this magnitude and will be able to complete their journeys safely.

Cruise the Great Lakes
The Pearl Mist, a cruise ship owned by Pearl Seas Cruises, is scheduled to dock at North Shore Marine Terminal in Escanaba on July 3.
The Great Lakes are a series of interconnected freshwater lakes in the interior of east-central North America. They are the largest freshwater lakes in the world. They are connected to the Atlantic Ocean by the St. Lawrence River.
